In Hollywood, being the only one in the room or at the table – whatever your intersectional identity is – can be exhausting, frustrating and lonely.

It’s been the same story for me in every role throughout my career: as a film student, as a writer/producer, and as an executive. The entertainment industry needs change at every level, and we need it immediately, so our professional lives can be spent with people who enthusiastically support a diversity of experiences and perspectives.

Not everyone can afford formal training programs, fancy networking events, or a career coach, so I created Tinsel Trend to scale my mentorship principles so I can reach and engage more people who are looking to break in or move up. I have more than a decade of experience mentoring and elevating young people through amazing organizations such as Rock & Roll Camp for Girls L.A., The Independent School Alliance, and Good City Mentors. I also lecture about the entertainment business at USC and NYU.
